What is the life expectancy of the keys, and how reliable is this technology overall?

As a core component of CLVX 1, the TouchOnKeys® technology (scissor keyboard with a capacitive touch sensor inside) meets all industry standards and is very reliable. This has been proven in three successful mass-production products made for different companies.

The life expectancy of the keys is 3 million presses, which is the industry standard for scissors-based keyboards.

This in no way implies that the keys will break after 3 million presses. Instead, it means that even after 3 million presses in testing, all modules continued to perform remarkably well.

For the average user, 3 million presses translate to years of use, which is the standard upheld in modern laptops.
